Empowering adults 55+ to unleash creativity and build lasting community connections!
Creative Works is our newest community based program that is set up to be inclusive to both men and women in our rural community. Along with our partners at Cartwright Cares this program is designed to provide participants, ages 55+, with the opportunity to find purpose, foster community and develop new skills while building usable products from lumber.
Crowsnest Community Support Society donates the Woodshop space at Mountain View Industries, the required tools, and supplies. Alongside skilled workers assisting in the program, participants work together to cut, build, paint and create a variety of projects.
The products that are sold throughout our community bring back the funds directly into the program. Some of our smaller crafts are donated to other local non-profit children's programs.
